Frequently Asked Questions

The preschool program is open to children from the community. First priority will be given to the families who are currently attending, followed by families within the community and surrounding area.

Children must be 2 1/2 years of age and have not yet entered Kindergarten to be enrolled in the Pre-School program. Exceptions to this are made only with the approval of lead teachers and the preschool director. Children also need to be fully potty trained upon enrollment as unfortunately we are not set up for diaper changing.

Upon acceptance of enrollment, MyKkids requires that an information packet be completed for our files (medical consent forms, allergy information, immunization records, emergency phone numbers, etc.) These forms must be on file before the child can be left at MyKkids.

We welcome parents of current students at any time, in any area of our school. We encourage parent involvement, especially on field trips and helping with class parties.

Prospective parents should call first to schedule an appointment. This way you can be sure that someone will be available to answer your questions and show you around the center.

A late fee of $2.00 for every minute late and is due at the time of pick-up. Staff members are never allowed to transport children home.

All those listed on your Sign-in/Sign-out form can pick up your child. Staff may not release children to anyone who is not authorized by the custodial parent. All person(s) must be prepared to show two forms of ID.

No. However, preschool children must have a complete change of clothing, clearly marked with the child’s name, left at MyKkids. Caps, mittens, and warm clothing must be worn during the cooler seasons for daily outdoor playtime. Preschool children need to be dressed for the weather. Accidents can happen even for the older preschoolers when they wait too long before going to the bathroom, or if they get wet on the playground.

Most children enjoy celebrating special events with their friends (birthday, new babies, and holidays). Parents may send a “store bought” treat to share with the class. Please make arrangements with the teacher several days in advance.
