Hello Families

Excited about the first day of Kindergarten?! I look forward to growing and learning with each new child as a Kindergartner. For the families I’ve had in Preschool, I am very excited about reconnecting with you and your child! Our Enrichment Program allows me to help your child in areas they need focus on. I will be assessing each child in the coming weeks. If you have a learning area you would like for me to work on, please feel free to contact me via email or in person. For those families who are new to MyKkids, I have been a part of Kinesthetic for 16 years, taking one year off to work on my MA from Pacific Oaks College in Leadership and Adult Education. My BA is in Early Childhood Education. I also teach adults at Pasadena City College in Child Development, Diversity, Special Education and Health, Safety and Nutrition. I guess you can say I have the best of both worlds…Theory with future teachers and Practicum with our Kinders.

I am a hands on learner, very Kinesthetic. I learn best by doing but I understand every child is unique and has their own learning style. I try my best to create a classroom environment inclusive of all learning styles. My classroom is based on a Reggio-inspired, multicultural, Dewey democratic environment with learning centers and activities that include Gardner’s Eight Multiple Intelligences. We have a daily schedule, we will complete homework, we have learning centers based on monthly themes but sometimes, we will explore our beautiful environment and investigate the real world, taking our classroom learning outside! (on our property that is) if you have specific questions, comments, concerns, compliments and/or suggestions… I am here.
